8TH MARCH: DUNA-GIRLS IN MOTION AGAINST VIOLENCE
As every year, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, the DUNA Group wanted to organize a small surprise for its Collaborators: a cheerful bike ride in the Soliera countryside to take part into a pleasant morning snack and attend a touching illustrated exhibition on the women condition around the world. Each DUNA-Girl then received her lovely vintage bicycle and a souvenir postcard as a gifts
This year, more than ever, the International Women's Day represents a heartfelt and unmissable anniversary for the DUNA Group and the whole Community. The unacceptable but daily episodes of femicide and gender-based violence, even just a few steps away from us, force us to reflect on the women condition and to reject and denounce all forms of abuse, injustice and prevarication suffered by women of all ages, ethnicities and religions.
To express our support to the fight against violence on women and to thank all our Collaborators for their commitment to the growth of our Company and the entire Society, again this year the DUNA-Group committed to organize a pleasant surprise on the occasion of March 8th.
The day started with a cheerful group bike ride in the countryside around the Soliera Headquarters, riding pretty vintage bicycles, then left as a gift to the (in) experienced cyclists. A nice cloud of pink bicycles in motion to remind the importance of moving together, actively and sustainably, to fight all forms of gender-based violence.
The joyful group cycled to the Soliera center to take part into a pleasant group snack and attend the Woman-themed illustrated exhibition held for them by the writer and photo-reporter Annalisa Vandelli, cultural collaborator of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, awarded in 2017 with the Women in Re-Birth Award and still engaged in publications in numerous international magazines as Corriere della Sera, Avvenire, L'Espresso, Huffington Post.
Through small illustrated ABC books, the DUNA-Girls were able to relive the missions and travel experiences of the journalist, particularly attentive to the women emancipation issue and active against Gender Violence all over the World. A day for reflection, full of laughter and emotion for the DUNA-Girls... a March 8th definitely to remember! For this reason, all DUNA-Girls received as a gift their flamboyant DUNA bicycle and a small illustrated postcard inspired by the exhibition.
Likewise the DUNA-USA and DUNA-Emirates employees received a box of Italian gastronomic excellences as a gift, to underline the bond and values’ commonality between the foreign branches and the Italian Headquarters.
Small gestures for great Women who contribute with joy and determination to the growth of the DUNA Group and the entire Society. Thank you Girls!
GO DUNA, GO WOMEN!
